Sun Descending Backstory

Sun Descending (behind the Biloxi Lighthouse) was shot by Gordon Larson in 1996, using 1/4 inch beta, video tape.  This single video frame was captured in Media 100 and worked in Photoshop, adjusting the images brightness/darkness and sharpening the lines on the lighthouse.  The original tape was lost to Hurricane Katrina on August 30, 2005.  Print Number 1/150 was bought by Carrie Morgan as a gift for her daughter, Charlotte.  On December 13, 2007, fifty-percent of the proceeds from the sale of this image were donated to the American Red Cross in the name of Charlotte Morgan, in gratitude for the work done by that organization in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
